Meet Reeses, Our Short-eared Owl Educational Ambassador
Reeses was brought to the center in October 2013 with a broken wing from a car collision. Although the break healed, it left a fused joint that keeps him from fully spreading his wings. Unfortunately, this prevents him from being able to do any sustained flight. Short-eared owls are not always permanent residents in Ohio, so he is happy to be an ambassador for his species year round.
