Meet Ella, Our Snowy Owl Educational Ambassador

Ella came to the Medina Raptor Center in November 2007 after being hit by a car in Lakewood, OH. She was found sitting on half-eaten prey and was very thin. After she was  released in March 2008. Unfortunately, a month later she hit a wire a wire at the Lorain County fairgrounds in Wellington, OH and was returned to the center with a broken wing. The injury to wing was so severe she could no longer sustain long flight. Ella is now a permanent resident at the MRC and has became a popular educational ambassador for her species.
