WELCOME!

The Medina Raptor Center is in its twentieth year of helping Ohio's Wildlife.  We are a state and federally licensed facility dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of birds of prey.  Our mission and focus also include educational outreach programs that utilize live birds of prey to educate children and adults about raptors and their role in the ecosystem, and the need to preserve habitat.  We are a 501(c)(3) non profit organization and support of our programs is tax deductible.

Our specialty is birds of prey, but we also help songbirds, squirrels and rabbits.  We do not have a paid staff, but we are fortunate to have skilled and dedicated volunteers.  Many of them have been with the Center for years.

The Medina Raptor Center is specially permitted to rehabilitate state and federally endangered species.  This permit has allowed us to work with and help injured eagles, falcons and ospreys, and to employ special techniques for rehabilitating these magnificent birds.

The Medina Raptor Center does not receive any tax supported public funding.  We  depend on donations from  generous individuals who share our values and passion.  These donations have enabled us to grow this facility to include more than fifty cages for housing birds as well as our new headquarters building which includes a small clinic, a food preparation area and an office. The support of this facility is expensive and we have a long list of ongoing needs.  Please see our how you can help page for information on contributing to the Medina Raptor Center.

Welcome to our website. I hope you have time to look at some of the beautiful pictures of our birds and to learn about our mission to release these magnificent birds back to their natural habitat. Please take the time to click on the pictures and the links provided to move around this website.

Sincerely,

Laura Jordan
